NameView Issue

NameView is a program that transfers player names and numbers from ACBLScore to Bridgemate. Once you have all the information in ACBLScore, you can update the Bridgemates with one click.

Occasionally, however, the Bridgemate Control Software (BCS) becomes unresponsive after NameView is run, typically displaying “Updating Names”. If this continues for more than a few seconds, it’s necessary to close and restart the BCS. The Bridgemate server will still collect and store results, so no data will be lost.

Here’s the procedure:

1. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del and then click on Task Manager.
2. Click the BCS app and click End Task, then just click through any messages.
3. In ACBLScore, press F11 - BMR to restart BCS.
